Baseball in St. Louis isn't something that starts in April and ends in October. It's part of the fabric of the city. It's passed from grandparents to parents to kids. It's the stories we tell, the games we remember and the players whose names somehow become part of the family vocabulary.
It's Opening Day downtown.
It's hearing the crack of a bat on a summer night.
It's seeing the Gateway Arch beyond the stadium.
And it's that sea of red filling the stands, something generations of players, both Cardinals and opponents, have talked about when describing what it's like to play baseball in St. Louis.
There's a reason this place has been called baseball heaven.

Taking Care of Home
There's something very St. Louis about taking care of what belongs to you.
You see it in neighborhoods throughout the region.
A South City home that's been in the family for generations. A brick house that's been standing longer than most of us have been alive. A backyard in Kirkwood where everyone ends up during the summer. A home in St. Charles where the driveway becomes the neighborhood gathering spot. A local business whose owner unlocks the front door every morning knowing their name is on the line.
These places mean something to the people who own them.
That's where what we do comes in.
A driveway slowly darkens and you barely notice it happening.
A patio that looked great a few summers ago starts showing its age.
Algae appears on the shaded side of the house. Dirt works its way into concrete. Decks weather. Gutters fill. Brick and siding collect years of everything Missouri weather can throw at them.
None of it happens overnight.
But then we clean it.
That's the part of this business we never get tired of.
There's a moment when years of buildup disappear and you see the original surface again. Concrete gets brighter. Siding looks fresh. A patio becomes a place you want people to see again.
Sometimes the reaction is simply:
"I forgot it looked like that."

St. Louis baseball fans know something else pretty well.
How you do something matters.
We're a city that appreciates fundamentals. Knowing the situation. Making the right play. Doing the little things correctly even when they don't end up in the highlight reel.

On a summer evening, there are few places we'd rather be than St. Louis.
Maybe you're downtown watching the Cardinals with 40,000 other people dressed in red.
Maybe the game is on the radio while you're grilling in the backyard.
Maybe you're sitting on the patio with friends, watching on TV and explaining to everyone why the manager absolutely should have pulled the starter an inning ago.
That's St. Louis.
